From plant nursery to garden stopover
A relaxed garden resort on the corner of the Bruce and Dawson Highways — comfortable rooms, self-contained cabins, and a stand of lush native gardens, 20 minutes from Gladstone.
A thriving plant nursery
This green corner on the Bruce and Dawson Highways began life as a busy plant nursery — rows of natives, established trees and the gardens that still shade the grounds today.
“The gardens were already here. We just added somewhere to stay.”
A relaxed roadside resort
Today Parklands is a relaxed roadside resort wrapped in those same native gardens — comfortable motel rooms and self-contained cabins, an on-site restaurant, a 24-hour gym and free on-site parking. The easy, honest stop the highway had been missing.
From nursery rows to garden stopover
A quiet plot where the Bruce and Dawson Highways meet, shaded by established trees and well back from the road.
For years this was a thriving plant nursery. The rows of natives, the established trees and the gardens that still shade the grounds were planted in those days — the landscaping was here long before the rooms.
Comfortable rooms and self-contained cabins were added among the mature gardens, turning the nursery into an easy roadside resort for travellers on the highway.
A relaxed 3.5-star garden resort — six room and cabin types, an on-site restaurant and a 24-hour gym, with those same native gardens and a quiet pond still at its heart.
We'll treat you like the only guest on the grounds
