Long-stay and contractor accommodation near Gladstone

Twenty minutes from town and ten from the airport, with a laundry, a kitchenette option and somewhere to put the ute. Send us your dates and crew size and we'll quote a long-stay rate.

guest lounge & wi-fi

A long stay in Gladstone is a different proposition to a night in a motel. By week two it isn't the bed that decides whether the place works — it's whether you can wash your clothes, whether you can eat without a drive, whether the ute fits, and whether you can actually sleep after a night shift.

We take a lot of guests on rosters, shutdowns and project work, and this page sets out what's here for them — and the two or three things that aren't. Long-stay, extended-stay, short-term, contractor digs: the words change from company to company, and the questions behind them don't.

A working weekday

What the day actually looks like

5:00 am

Breakfast opens

The buffet runs from five to 7:30, Monday to Friday — $20, paid separately from the room. Early enough for a pre-start, and hot, which a service-station pie is not.

~20 min

Into Gladstone

The CBD, the port and the industrial precincts are roughly twenty minutes up the highway. The airport is about ten, which matters on a fly-in fly-out swing.

Daytime

Quiet, if you're on nights

The rooms and cabins sit well back from the road in the gardens. Day-sleeping actually works here, which is not true of everywhere on a highway.

5:30 pm

Dinner, on site

Buffet dinner runs 5:30 to 7:30, Monday to Friday, $35. If your meals are covered under a corporate booking, there's no voucher to collect. Then a licensed bar and a pool table if you want them.

Any time

Laundry and the gym

A coin laundry on the grounds, and a gym that's open 24 hours — useful when your finish time moves around.

Meal prices and trading hours are current at the time of writing and subject to availability — see the dining page.

Both sides of it

What's here, and what isn't

What's here

  • Coin laundry on the grounds
  • Self-contained cabins with a stovetop, microwave and full-sized fridge
  • Buffet breakfast and dinner, Monday to Friday, with corporate accounts handled at reception
  • Free parking with room for larger work vehicles, plus EV charging
  • Ground-floor rooms with parking close to the door
  • 24-hour gym, games room with a pool table, licensed bar for guests 18+
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout, and a work desk in the room
  • A conference room, if the crew needs somewhere to sit down together
  • After-hours check-in, arranged in advance

What isn't

  • Meals at weekends — the restaurant is closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. On a seven-day roster you'll want a cabin with a kitchenette.
  • A full kitchen. The cabins have a kitchenette, not an oven and a benchful of appliances.
  • Pets. This is a non-pet property; assistance animals are welcome, so please call ahead.
  • A caravan park. We have parking, not powered sites.
  • Published long-stay rates. They depend on dates and numbers, so they're quoted rather than listed — we don't post a price we can't stand behind.

Which room

Pick by how long you're here

An extended stay is priced and packed differently to a couple of nights, so start from how long you're actually here. A week or less, theDeluxe Queen Room is plenty. Two workmates sharing want the Deluxe Twin Room — queen plus a twin, own ensuite. Anything longer than a fortnight, or any roster that runs through a weekend, take the Deluxe Queen Cabin: it's the one you can cook in.

More on that in the self-contained cabins page, and there's a wider read on using Calliope as a work base in our local's guide.
